Code of conduct
Last updated 9 October 2026. Aluna is for readers and writers. These rules apply everywhere people talk here: the forum, reviews, fan-club rooms and their chat, profiles and display names. What may appear inside a work is covered by the content policy in our Terms of service.
1. Be decent to people
- No harassment, bullying, threats or targeted abuse, and no encouraging others to pile on someone.
- No hate speech: nothing that attacks or demeans people for their race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age or any similar characteristic.
- Criticise the work, not the person. Honest, even harsh, reviews are welcome; insults and personal attacks are not.
2. Keep people safe
- Never post someone's private information — a home address, phone number, workplace, or a real name they have not shared here.
- Nothing that sexualises minors, ever. We remove it, close the account and report it to the authorities.
- No sexual content involving animals, ever. Same consequences.
- Nothing sexually explicit — no sexual posts, images, GIFs, or links to such material.
- Do not encourage self-harm or suicide. If someone is in danger, contact your local emergency services.
3. Be honest
- Do not pretend to be someone else, including another author, a moderator or Aluna.
- No fake or paid reviews, no review bombing, and no trading or buying follows, likes or reviews.
- One account per person. No second accounts to dodge a ban, boost your own books or climb the rankings.
4. Respect creators
- Only post work you wrote or have the rights to. No plagiarism and no reposting other people's chapters, art or pages.
- Do not copy, record or share paid chapters, downloads or fan-club audio outside Aluna without the author's permission.
- Keep spoilers out of thread titles, and warn people before you give away the plot.
5. No spam or scams
- No advertising unrelated to Aluna, link farms, phishing, malware or scams.
- Telling people about your own books is fine, in the right thread and in moderation.
6. Fan-club rooms
Hosts and members follow the same rules. A host may remove someone from their room's chat. Members pay for access, not for the right to break these rules: breaking them can end a membership without a refund.
7. Reporting
Use Report in the ⋯ menu on any work, thread or reply, or write to aluna.ink.com@gmail.com with a link. Reports are confidential: the person you report is never told who reported them. For anything illegal or dangerous, also contact the police.
8. What happens when the rules are broken
A moderator may remove a post, review or work, lock a thread, take away XP or badges, leave an account out of the rankings, or suspend or close an account. How far we go depends on how serious it is and whether it has happened before; the most serious cases go straight to a ban and, where the law requires it, to the authorities.
When we remove something of yours or restrict your account, we tell you what and why in your notifications, unless the law stops us. If you think we got it wrong, write to aluna.ink.com@gmail.com within six months, say which decision and why; a person, not an automated system, looks at it again and answers you.
These rules sit alongside our Terms of service, which take precedence if the two ever disagree.
