Questions about Aluna
What is Aluna?
Aluna is a story writing website and a reading home for novels, web novels, serial fiction, comics and manga by indie authors. Readers follow books chapter by chapter; authors publish for free and keep 85% of every sale.
Is Aluna free?
Yes. Anyone can read free books and free chapters, even without an account, and writing is free. A free account reads the free chapters of up to three paid books at once; Bookworm ($20 a month) removes that limit and lets you buy from authors.
How do writers get paid on Aluna?
Authors set a price from $10 to $40 for subscriptions, copies of finished books, digital goods or a fan club. Readers pay by card through Stripe, and 85% goes straight to the author's own Stripe account.
Who can join Aluna?
Anyone aged 18 or over can read and publish, from any country. Getting paid needs a Stripe account in one of the 41 countries Stripe Connect pays out to.
Everything here is posted by its authors; read our terms before you publish or buy.
